Green Thyme - Zatar - Golchin


It is commonly eaten with pita, which is dipped in olive oil and then za'atar. Za'atar is used as a seasoning for meats and vegetables or sprinkled onto hummus. It is also eaten with labne (yogurt drained to make a tangy, creamy cheese), and bread and olive oil for breakfast, most commonly in the Levant part of the Arab world.

To use: mix 1-2 tblsps of zatar with 1-2 tblsps extra-virgin olive oil and spread on warm, toasted bread. You may also hand mix Zatar (thyme) with roasted organic sesame seeds, sumac, and sea salt for added flavor.
